career decision

by Guest on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 - 9:36pm | in INFJ

ANy INFJs out there that have had a hard time choosing a career like me? After years of research, I've narrowed it down to two: school counseling or clinical psychology. ANy insight is welcome

EN T/F P/J

by Guest on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 - 5:16pm | in ENTP

I received a fairly confusing result - EN for sure, but borderline on the thinking / feeling dimension and borderline on the perceiving / judging dimension as well. Has anyone else received this? Can you offer some insight as to how I might interpret this result?

This leaves me as a possible ENTP, ENFP, ENTJ, ENFJ - which seem somewhat related but fairly different personality types....

Are there certain MBTI types that are more likely to habitually print using all capital letters?

by INFJ1961 on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 - 6:42pm | in INFJ

For quite a few years now, I've had a tendency to write in all capital letters, making the first letter of any word that would normally be capitalized larger than the rest. What led me to this is that I saw someone else doing it, and I liked it.

With the onset of computers in homes and workplaces, I did a lot less handwriting. I do very little corresponding outside of the digital...

The joys of being a hermit type

by Guest on Monday, September 5, 2016 - 7:39pm | in ISFP

The wild is the only sanctuary for those like us. Without that a garden may do, or a church, or fresh air or the darkness of night, to help endure daily life.

But beyond society there is something beautiful, dangerous, real and true. It's called 'the wilderness'.

And if you don't like to gamble with your life, much of nature really isn't that dangerous or significantly more so...

Motivating my ISFP

by reasonless_guru on Friday, September 2, 2016 - 1:00am | in ISFP

Okay guys, I need some input. I'm an INTJ. I love school, and moving myself forward, and just generally bettering myself. I already have two bachelors degrees, and am working on a third, just because I love to learn. All of the rest of my immediate family is IXTX, so we all get along. The only odd one out is my younger brother, who is ISFP. We still get along really well, but sometimes it's...

I am free...at last!

by suavecoolwave on Thursday, September 1, 2016 - 5:01am | in INFJ

I just found out last week that indeed I am not crazy, and nothing is wrong with me.
For the longest time I sensed that I was different. It bothered me that I "could read" people's feelings/emotions and that
it affected me. It bothered me that I couldn't stand the mindless, silly chats of people around me. And above all, I always tried to seek solitude. It felt good to be alone...

I'd like to clarify Some things about the way i see mbti

by tommytardif1 on Monday, August 29, 2016 - 12:59am | in INFJ

First of all

Some people(probably sensors) see me as if i have the head in the cloud because i have high goals and say things that appear to be impossible but actually when we look at all the things that have been made by great people were at first seen as impossible

where i'm unsure is if i'm a sensor or an intuit, because i work hard to achieve all the things others might see...

Relationship epiphany at midlife

by Guest on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 - 7:04pm | in INTJ

Stumbled on this forum by chance today. I'm an INTJ woman in my early 50s and have been pondering the whole relationship thing for many days now. Was married for a while earlier in life, for all the wrong reasons, and I have chalked that up to a disaster I won't repeat. This summer I met a man who is absolutely everything I could want: we enjoy the same outdoor pursuits, have a compatible...

I Am an ESFJ!

by adrianabonilla1996 on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 - 2:08pm | in ESFJ

Hello,

I am an ESFJ for a long while I've been trying to figure out my personality type. I am almost positive like 80% sure that this is who I really am. Reasons why because I noticed that as an extrovert I feel happiest expressing myself, going out of my house getting fresh air for long hours, hanging out with ny friends, and just loving those who I love. I love helping people because...

goal setting and struggling to achieve...

by Guest on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 - 12:17am | in INFP

I'm struggling now, at age 55 with the aspects of not being "future" oriented, especially around finances. I know I have to change, and the goal setting strategies that coaches and successful entrepenuerus utilize just have no meaning for me. I'm not competitive at all, so winning challenges doesn't motivate me either.
What are or have any of you done to help put some desire or fire...

Split Typing INTP/INFP

by shnazyzhee on Sunday, August 21, 2016 - 9:43pm | in INTP

Alrighty. I am pretty much a dead even split between INTP and INFP. And I often find this leads to lots of conflicts of interest, and find it difficult to find anything that is right for me. I am working on a double major in Comp Sci and Philosophy, with a minor in graphic design. In my free time I perform professionally in an improv comedy troupe and I'm working on making a small web series....

Recommended Site for INFP and other introspective types: Brainpickings

by Guest on Sunday, August 21, 2016 - 6:02am | in INFP

This is a free site but I gladly volunteer to pay a few dollars a month because I love it. But you don't have to.
It's called https://www.brainpickings.org/ "An Inventory of the Meaningful Life" and they send a weekly blog post devoted topics about such things as:
--"An illustrated celebration of trailblazing women in science, Bertrand...

Ideal Match for Female INFJ?

by Guest on Friday, August 19, 2016 - 7:56pm | in INFJ

I've read lots of different matches, to me it seems according to those my best match is either ENTP or ENFP. I'm more of a sensitive INFJ. What are your experiences and the types you seem to get along best with?
