Hi, I'm just wondering if there are any other ISTJ authors out there?

I write fiction (dark fantasy/heroic fantasy) and have self-published five, (and soon) six books.

From my research, most authors aren't ISTJs so I'm wondering if I am the odd woman out?

Every test I've done tags me as an ISTJ, and I recognise so many ISTJ traits within me.

I'm an ENFP, but because of my childhood, I used and developed my "dark side", ISTJ more. It's not dark in the classic sense, but it's just another side of myself that's grounded, and seeks stability and security having experienced a very tumultuous childhood where I had to grow up and be responsible fast. But ENFP and ISTj are two sides of the same coin. I suspect that you've developed your ENFP side more than most ISTJ's. I hope this was helpful. I call myself a writer, among other things, but I have more ideas than finished product, lol, but I'm working on it.

Oh my gosh and I thought I was the only one put there. I am also a ISTJ I’ve taken pretty much every test, all the same. I tend to write dark themes as well in my writing, although when it comes to the world building I have a harder time. I’ve self published two books and working on my third; congrats on your publishing by the way. If you want to chat email me any time, I really could use a fresh pair of eyes for my work and it would be nice from another ISTJ perspective. Keep on writing!
