I've taken the test at different points in my career. It was then reviewed in the context of working in a group. Understanding the preferences of others has always been important in maintaining functional workgroup dynamics, keeping people motivated, and in optimizing the teams performance. Most recently I used Type Finder post-retirement. I was surprised, though it makes sense, to see how different my preferences score. The detailed feedback has been helpful both in validating service choices that I've made and has provided insight into what projects and opportunities for me to consider in the future. I highly recommend it. Take it now and again with significant lifestyle or life-stage changes.

I found it particular useful that they break things down further into percentages one way or another unlike many other online sites. In doing my research I felt I fit into both T/F as well as J/P and as it turns out I'm nearly 50/50 on both of those. Trust your intuition guys!

I found Type Finder easy to use and the breakdown of the results clear and insightful. I like to compatability score against each type and detailed split against each element. I complete this test many years ago (30 !) and interest to see if I've changed.

I've taken this test a few times as well as similar ones from a few other sources over many years and I often get typed as an INFP; this, however, has never felt like a good fit. In fact, the first suggested descriptor for me per this site is "whimsical". Ummmm, no. Very No. Way off. Perfectionistic, Insightful, Empathetic? Yes. Lighthearted, Carefree, Whimsical? Never even once. Sometimes I get typed as INFJ, once I even got INTP. Based on various descriptions from numerous sources, I am an INFJ. I have done a great deal of research into INFP vs INFJ mistyping; in fact, it is the most common mistype. While INFx's may look similar, they process the world very differently. This site does not put any emphasis what-so-ever into the cognitive stacks. Perhaps this test could be improved with some more specific or differently worded questions. I've found the Enneagram equally vague. 5w4, 5w6, 5 with 2 wings? Big 5 has been the most straightforward.

This was very interesting. While I did not think some of the analysis correctly applied to me at first, after thoroughly reading the report and thinking about the categories, I realized a lot of things about myself that I had never even considered before. Awesome.
