Just answering the questions made me understand how my personality is at odds with many elements of itself. I don't feel worthy of the title The Commander, yet I know I can be an effective leader in the right circumstances. Such as meeting a challenge head-on and making group decisions because others are too timid to pursue their idea of the goal, or persuade others to share their point of view. I would prefer a situation (a fantasy) wherein teams competed for the best outcome, and once achieved, the strategy is there, ready to go with all included. I spend a lot of time in my own head. Frequently I will transcribe my ideas, rather than blurting them out incoherently to others until I have a model, diagram, formula, or theory that conveys my concepts full circle, rather than train-of-thought. I have always been good at 'orchestration' - on building projects; on events for entertainment, on media partnerships, etc. I need alone time to prepare for delegating in a quiet space, so the whole endeavor will have an outline that I, too, can follow if I get lost in the minutia or distracted by the pace of the activity. This test tells me as much about my past behavior as it might about how I will encounter my future projects. Asking myself up-front about whether the reward is worth the effort is a good place to start. Many times, I would prefer to be the chronicler that the spokesperson. I look forward at 63 to continuing to contribute to the overall conversation, but it might be time to concentrate on broadening my concepts through creative expression.

When I read D. Keirsey’s Personology I had the impression I was NT whereas with the Consulting Psychologists I got INFJ. Perhaps the difference is, as Keirsey argued, between observable behaviours and inferred attitudes. In any event, when I delved into Keirsey’s NT types, INTJ seemed most likely, which the Truity instrument confirms. I have always been a fairly close T/F split with T becoming much more pronounced when I did my MBA and PhD, and then receding the 25 years I was a prof. This test does confirm that while INTJ is the best match, so is INFJ to a slightly lesser degree. So, good. INTJ is better for the goal attainment I still hope for before old age eventually claims me.

I find these tests and readings fascinating, and perhaps confirming or reafffirming some of the attributes we think we have. However, it is difficult to pin ourselves down to some of our extended and more subliminal traits. Thank you for shedding more light. Happy New Year! Worth every penny to receive this report.

This personality test is so accurate, absolutely love it. It would be a bit better if more content was free on preview but it is understandable that one must pay something to get the full, very detailed package.

I found my personality type described here to be accurate. I wasn’t sure why or how to make my personality type work for me in a practical manner, this knowledge has given me the tools and direction on how to purposefully grow as a person. I’m excitedly looking forward to exploring the interesting possibilities within my personality type. Happy now to know where I’m going and why I’m heading that way. Thank you!
