I finally found a site that described me to a T! It's my personality right down to the final detail! I finally have a reason to explain to my parents why I am the way I am, and why I want to dance and act for a living, not go into psychiatry! Thanks you so much
yeah really i got so much surprised by the way this site was explaining everything about me. It felt like someone is telling about me and now finally i have a reason to tell my parents about the way i am.
Yes please changed my reality world
I laughed out loud when I read your message. I have been working in psychiatry for 20 years but have always felt I should be dancing or acting. Follow your heart and perform with pride :-)
Interesting! I am ESFP and a recent psychology graduate. Quit dancing (on a competitive level) before going to college and now, i still keep dreaming of being an actress:D
What would you suggest as someone wiser with more experiences in a working field than me?
Do a career that you like
The beginning question should be out of 5 rather than 4
And you should have more questions about us personally, rather than just our thoguht process
A person's thought process is what makes them, regardless of their Myers-Briggs type.
I think this did a good job of describing me.
Me too, Sheryl.... me too
I enjoyed reading about my personality and character traits. I agree with almost all of them. I'm an elementry school teacher who also enjoys landscape and interior design. Thank you this was fun!
Hey, do you know how ESFPs can succeed academically?
I can tell you what my husband did. He is a ESFP and a successful attorney. I am an INTJ. While he was attending law school, he did not study independently as I always have. Instead he formed study groups with the guys. They would cram for tests and finals together, and what have you. He admits this was the key to his academic success. Forming a study group. I hope this helps. I wish you well in your studies as you harness your inner Sheldon.
Oh my goodness this thing is cray!!! It describes my PERFECTLY!! Its amazing how something like this works!!! It is almost creepy!
It is sort of creepy
Its amazing that u described my personality and attitude straight on point!!! That is what really doubt me on these years!!!! Thank you but still more info on facing specific situations and the ways of solving it for people with this personality becoz in my OP, the way i do things and others are somewhat different in a way. Hope u can solve that. :)
I am so happy about this !! This describes me perfectly !! My mom wants me to be a lawyer but I want to be a singer and actor !! And this describes why !! I love how you not only described our life style but what kind of jobs that we are most like to take and how we are most like to be as parents !! I have always told everyone that I want at least 4 kids !! This was amazing !! Thank you
It was very honest and accurate, had done a test before and got the same result, it was many years ago. I have had many occupations and all involved being in direct contact with the public and always recieved excellant reports from people I have been in contact with. My managers were always happy with my reach to their customers and now I wish to write and achieve that goal I have wanted to write since I was a teenager, but felt I needed to experience life before I did so. This also is correct of the personality type. Thank You! On with the next endevour.
This is actually truly 100% me. After the test I was reading it and thinking to myself omg I cannot believe this, this is everything that I do. And when I looked in the work section I saw what I wanted to do for a job there. I was so happy. And the relationship part is so true. This is great ;)
Really refreshing to find this and have a good read! This outline describes me well, I think I was off track and become something else. Bugger that!
Wow I'm actually suprised how this describes my personality PERFECTLY like I feel like I'm creeped by this LMAOOO

I got this result in more than one personality test
I guess I really am an ESFP … good to know
Guys! What are your hobbies?
this is the first test I've ever taken that's truly gotten it all right about me. so awesome
Okay, at first when i found out in was a esfp, i got dissapointed. The performer? Cmon! Though its correct, i couldnt accept it. It didnt look very cool to me...
It hit me hard that i wasnt a thinker
Lol, ESFPs are often the butt of jokes in typology. Then again, I think a lot of people who say they're intuitives or thinkers are really just fooling themselves. For example, INTJs and INFJs are among the rarest types, and yet everyone online claims to be either. Of course, it could just be that the more common types don't hang out online as much, but I actually think it's both. :)
Also, a lot of people mistype themselves inadvertently; it took me a long time to figure out I was ESFP, mainly because of the stereotype of us being irresponsible partiers! I went through a phase of hedonism, but it got old pretty fast. And remember: thinking and feeling in typology refer to how you make decisions, and not how much you think or have emotions. I think all the time! :)
My former friend is an ESFP but she can maintain a facade of a ESFJ (I am an INTJ) she is a registered nurse. She has been a successful labor and delivery nurse for a long time now.
We were friends for 35 years but our personalities clashed so much I could no longer maintain the friendship. I was in college and finally figured her out through psychology classes, psychology of personality was the nail in her coffin.
So I wouldn’t fret over the ESFP tag I’m sure you are more than just a party animal! I was going back and forth between the two for her and realized with maturity she became both but never lost her ESFP.
I was in foster care and this is for me
I think this was literally written about me. Lived it. It was an eye opener.
yes it was
very descriptive on my personality (ESFP)
yeah it was a real opener for me too, it got me real deep. yeahhh
it really understands me!
I have been very happily married to an INTJ-Mastermind for 33 years. It's true that his strengths are my weaknesses and visa versa. We have truly learned so much from each other and have helped each other grow in ways that would otherwise seem impossible to learn. Because of our incredible relationship, we have five beautifully well rounded children. Interestingly, we don't have any other extroverts in the fam, wonder why that is? No I am not overbearing, I guess there dad's genes were stronger :)
Actually, out of the 8 cognitive functions, ESFPs and INTJs share the same 4 main functions, just in reverse order. The 4 letter preferences are helpful (E versus I, S versus N, etc.), but they only begin to scratch the surface. For example, did you know that we ESFPs share no cognitive functions in common with ESFJs, who differ from us by just one letter? In our hierarchy of functions, ESFPs have dominant extraverted sensing, auxiliary introverted feeling, tertiary extraverted thinking, and inferior introverted intuition. ESFJs, on the other hand, have dominant extraverted feeling, auxiliary introverted sensing, tertiary extraverted intuition, and inferior introverted thinking. It gets pretty crazy (and even more fun) when you consider the hierarchy of functions behind each of the 16 personalities. There are similarities between types that one would not imagine, based on the 4-letter designations.
I am a estJ ....so I would like to know is it a proper personality for leadership in a team or what.
how can i find it
Although any type can excel in leadership roles, for ESTJs it often comes naturally. Your dominant extraverted thinking function means you tend to be superior at organizing your environment, which includes the people in your space. Also, ESTJs are usually pretty good at figuring out who would be most skilled at what task and they delegate responsibility accordingly, which often results in an efficient team that has the potential to run like a well-oiled machine. In other words, you're good at seeing how people are "useful." Where you guys run into trouble is failing to notice if your team members are actually happy enough with whatever tasks you've assigned them, which can lead to team members experiencing burnout, which ultimately means less productivity and a negative effect on the bottom line. Also, you guys tend to be overly concerned with hierarchy and seniority (which comes from your auxiliary introverted sensing function), which can mean not heeding good advice if it comes from a so-called "underling." As a bank teller with years of experience, I once had a boss with no banking experience who I'm sure was an ESTJ, and even though she didn't really know what she was doing, she wanted us to do her bidding without question, even if her decisions were unwise, simply because her title was "the manager." However, most ESTJs don't get their feelings hurt easily, which means they are good at receiving criticism -- provided it's from their own supervisor or "higher-up."But, they have to respect their superiors, which they will, IF those superiors are reasonably competent. But, they don't take too kindly to just any ol' person telling them they're doing something wrong. At least, that's what I've learned from studying MBTI as a hobby. No expert here.
A lot of this didn't sound familiar until I read the research bullets. Those sound like me more than any other personality description I've read anywhere! But I don't watch that much tv, unless it's my husband's day off. He's the tv/movie watcher, and he is ENTP. I can usually get into whatever he's watching, though.
This is awesome i knew I was this
I think esfp is exactly like me it brings out the real personality in me.
I took this test a long time ago, and to be honest I thought I had changed completely. I was in a 10 year relationship, where I had become an agoraphobic and very hermit like. And although I am still struggling with that, I truly believed I had changed in every aspect of my personality. But I haven't. So thank you so much for this. Makes me confident that I will go back to being the "me" I used to be.
