is it possible to be introverted with some people and extroverted with others?

by MajesticBandicoot on Friday, September 8, 2017 - 11:47pm

well I usually conisder myself an ISFP but I also fit into INFP, ESFP, and ENFP which is why I added those i hope thats not bad but anyway

I'm really shy with new people and I like to have time by myself. Usually I don't like to draw attention to myself... but depending on who else is around I do?? I like to do weird and pretty stupid things to make my friends laugh but if I don't know...

MBTI types and mental illness

by Guest on Friday, August 11, 2017 - 6:21pm

Does anyone know how much (if at all) mental illness can affect the outcome of your personality test? I am an ENFP, but part of me wonders if my depression makes me feel more P than J, or that my anxiety can make me more I than E, etc.

Maybe it's a moot point, but I have always wondered about this.

Anyone have any insight on this? Or resources for more information?

Specific emotional complexity issues.

by Guest on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 - 4:04am

So, I have a (personality quirk?), I'm not sure what to call it to be honest. I experience one emotion much more complexly than the others. I'm aware most people have a very (shallow?) depth to the pools of their own emotions in totality. And this is even more true for me in all cases but one. Anger. I personally think that everyone has two to three " levels" of each emotion, and of most of...

ISFP Needs Help with Career

by Guest on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 - 5:03pm

Hello, I did a career test once when I was a college student. The time I took the personality test is when I was in my final year in college.  After I graduated, I wished I took the test when I started college.  It would of help me find a better degree and career path.  There were many degree choices I would of been interested in. I graduated with a BA in Geography and BS in Geology.  Now I'm...

These are the results i got.

I didn't choose all of them right down the middle, I actually thought about the questions and answered honestly and with as much integrity as possible. Maybe more questions should be added....

College and Life Direction

by Guest on Friday, February 17, 2017 - 6:37am

I am an ISFP but I am in college to become an mechanical engineer. I feel like this is the perfect personality type for me but fear that knowing that I will lose interest in engineering since not all the time I will be allowed as much creative freedom as I believe I want there to be. I am not completely happy with my classes due to lack of long term interest once classes start even though at...

Can types change?

by Guest on Thursday, February 16, 2017 - 3:02am

I was thinking about this stuff a few days ago, and reading over some of the personality types. I'm not certain because I didn't test at the time, but I think a couple of years ago I was INTP, because it sounds just like I was. Overtime I became a more..kind person, I suppose? Working hard to be kinder and help others until it became natural. When I first tested, I got INFP, and at the time it...

help with school motivation

by Guest on Saturday, February 4, 2017 - 12:17am

hi I'm an ISFP student. So recently I've been having lots of trouble in my school. I feel like nothing I'm learning will actually matter once I'm an adult. I like learning but not useless stuff I don't have to know. I used to be really good at science and language arts but my grades have really plummeted. I just feel so unmotivated to do this work when it's never going to benefit me. My...

The joys of being a hermit type

by Guest on Monday, September 5, 2016 - 7:39pm

The wild is the only sanctuary for those like us. Without that a garden may do, or a church, or fresh air or the darkness of night, to help endure daily life.

But beyond society there is something beautiful, dangerous, real and true. It's called 'the wilderness'.

And if you don't like to gamble with your life, much of nature really isn't that dangerous or significantly more so...

Motivating my ISFP

by reasonless_guru on Friday, September 2, 2016 - 1:00am

Okay guys, I need some input. I'm an INTJ. I love school, and moving myself forward, and just generally bettering myself. I already have two bachelors degrees, and am working on a third, just because I love to learn. All of the rest of my immediate family is IXTX, so we all get along. The only odd one out is my younger brother, who is ISFP. We still get along really well, but sometimes it's...

Next step, action

by pjsimonis on Sunday, June 19, 2016 - 2:41pm

It is nice to know that there's loads of people with similar personality, most probably similar ups and downs and frustrations and Joy's than me. Nice to be able to talk to people who understand better. I'm really more interested in the action side of you'll though. What is it that you are actually doing work wise. Do you hate it, love it, loath it, jump up and down about it, sing about it in...

Motivation

by Guest on Saturday, May 23, 2015 - 5:17pm

While reading through everything about ISFP's, I noticed nothing was said about motivation, which I lack intensely and I know that other ISFP's do too, from other ways of communication and I was wondering if anyone else got this? I was also hoping that someone could help me deal with it, as it's causing problems for me at school or just general day to day things.
