To ENFP or to INFP?

by Hamlet722 on Friday, June 23, 2017 - 12:04am

Greetings and salutations,

I've been familiarizing myself with MBTI for over a year now, and I've consistently struggled with whether I am ENFP or INFP.

Nearly every time I take the test, I am ENFP. However, when interacting with other ENFPs or researching ENFP characters, I find myself under the uncomfortable difficulty that comes with trying to find one I can truly relate to. I...

Specific emotional complexity issues.

by Guest on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 - 4:04am

So, I have a (personality quirk?), I'm not sure what to call it to be honest. I experience one emotion much more complexly than the others. I'm aware most people have a very (shallow?) depth to the pools of their own emotions in totality. And this is even more true for me in all cases but one. Anger. I personally think that everyone has two to three " levels" of each emotion, and of most of...

INFPs, what do you think is our worst fault, and what do we do about it?

by Bard on Thursday, March 16, 2017 - 5:21pm

Worst fault or, if you prefer, trait most likely to cause problems.

I think, for me, it may be lack of self-confidence and mistrust of my inner voice. I have an INTJ friend who once said, "I always listen to myself." Not boasting, just objectively stating a fact, and puzzled that I don't do the same. Why wouldn't anyone? For my part I envy that quality so much--I so wish I had somehow...

I'm borderline everything. Great....

by Guest on Friday, March 10, 2017 - 10:50pm

These are the results i got.

I didn't choose all of them right down the middle, I actually thought about the questions and answered honestly and with as much integrity as possible. Maybe more questions should be added....

Tell me what I'm like

by Guest on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 - 3:57am

I pretty consistently test as right between intp and infp.  You might think that makes a small difference unless you know the kind of laughable machinations of the Myers-Briggs thing.  A test that asks you things about yourself and then spits out pretty much the same things about yourself.  Argh.  You might as well take some test somebody made up about what kind of kitties you like.  I wish...

Can types change?

by Guest on Thursday, February 16, 2017 - 3:02am

I was thinking about this stuff a few days ago, and reading over some of the personality types. I'm not certain because I didn't test at the time, but I think a couple of years ago I was INTP, because it sounds just like I was. Overtime I became a more..kind person, I suppose? Working hard to be kinder and help others until it became natural. When I first tested, I got INFP, and at the time it...

INFP and Masculinity

by Guest on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - 7:42am

Hey guys,

Always been skeptical about MBTI until just recently a friend of mine explained to me the 8 cognitive functions that explained each of the different types, and I found out that I was indeed, a Fi dominant person (i.e. I make decisions based on my personal value system / emotions rather than objective facts and data).

Anyways, as a male INFP, I find it quite hard to...

INFP, INFJ, or something else?

by Guest on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 - 7:53am

Im so confused. Im a 24 yr old guy and Ive tested multiple times and have gotten many different results but the main four are INFP, INTP, ENFP, and INFJ. I did research and tried to make sense of it. Heres what i found. Im 100% introvert and dont like getting involved in a lot of meaningless relationships so that rules out the ENFP. I do think to myself a lot and got confused because i thought...

Can a Healer be good or great at sales?

by sharoncubero96 on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 - 2:35am

I understand that Sales Manager is not preferred line of work for Healers. But, I'm currently an independent consultant and our mentors tell us to care about the person and the money would follow. Are there any salespersons on this personality type? Any help, suggestions, advise on how to thrive as a INFP on the sales world? I need to make this work!

Discovering my niche for business

by Guest on Friday, November 11, 2016 - 10:46pm

Greetings. I need a support group or mentor(s) to help me in my search for discovering my niche for a business. I'm so scatter brained and there are so many possibilities that I'm overwhelmed and don't know what to do. I fear failing, so I want to try to get it right the first time. I need a healthy balance of what I love to do, using what knowledge or interest I have, honing what skills I...

goal setting and struggling to achieve...

by Guest on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 - 12:17am

I'm struggling now, at age 55 with the aspects of not being "future" oriented, especially around finances. I know I have to change, and the goal setting strategies that coaches and successful entrepenuerus utilize just have no meaning for me. I'm not competitive at all, so winning challenges doesn't motivate me either.
What are or have any of you done to help put some desire or fire...

This is a free site but I gladly volunteer to pay a few dollars a month because I love it. But you don't have to.
It's called "An Inventory of the Meaningful Life" and they send a weekly blog post devoted topics about such things as:
--"An illustrated celebration of trailblazing women in science, Bertrand...

INFPs relationship with INTJs

by Amylee.beck on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 - 3:11pm

I'm going to post this topic in both the INFP and INTJ forums.

I'm an INFP woman and recently just started dating an INTJ man. I've read mixed things regarding the success of these two personality types together in a relationship and after recently ending a long and not so joyous marriage with an ESTJ I'm cautiously selecting my next partner based on, hopefully, better compatibility....
